Sale completed on Humber Gate plot as increased demand expected at 124 acre Energy Estuary site

Garness Jones has been pleased to complete the sale of a two-and-a-quarter acre plot of land on one of the region’s largest development sites.

The deal has been completed at Humber Gate in Grimsby, a 124-acre site which Garness Jones are managing and marketing to manufacturers, industrial companies, logistics businesses, warehouse operators and developers.

The huge site, which falls within a Government Enterprise Zone and sits by the Humber, offers plots for freehold land ranging from just under half an acre to almost 40 acres.

It is soon to benefit from a new link road which will be completed later this year, running directly across the front of the site and providing direct links to Grimsby, Immingham and the A180.

Dave Garness, managing director of Garness Jones, says he expects the sale, which has been agreed with ‘a large corporate’ which at this stage is not being named, will mark the start of further good news with regards investment.

“This site is prime for investment given it is free from any developer ties, sits with the Humber energy estuary and comes with the significant benefits of being within an Enterprise Zone. The client we have sold to is delighted to have purchased this plot.” he said.

“The new link road is an important development as it ensures superb transport links through fast access to the motorway network, and this linked with the site’s close proximity to Immingham and Grimsby Docks, and of course Humberside Airport, make it very appealing.

“We have seen some very positive interest in the site and we are very confident that it can attract some significant business investment to the region over the coming 12 to 18 months. The site has all the benefits large companies want and need when looking for ideal locations.”

Businesses already on site and nearby include Bluestar, BASF, Energy Pyrolysis, Vireol, Lenzing, and Enviro YG.
